I write for a deal of the day blog in addition to Coupon Mountain. I love giving my readers all kinds of money-saving tips and tricks. A couple of days ago, I wrote about one of my favorite games, beer pong, and I wanted to share some of my information here. Check out my other post if you’re new to the game or if you need a refresher on the rules.
In college, we made our own beer pong tables. You can buy a snazzy new beer pong table, or you can make, paint, and decorate your own. When you do, be sure to use Coupon Mountain’s Home Depot coupons, deals, and codes.

In an ideal world, we could all afford to hire interior decorators to meet our home improvement needs. Unfortunately, we don’t live in an ideal world. I would love to have my own perfectly deigned loft or home with beautiful cabinets, a hardwood floor, big windows, and the perfect lighting.
I’m not sure how professional designers and construction agencies operate or how others (from the photo to the right), do their projects, but recently, I’ve had to make a lot of trips to my local Home Depot. I’ve been shocked by how much I can actually do on my own. My old landlord actually did her own hard wood floors. A room took her about a day. How cool is that?
Make sure that you check out Coupon Mountain for Home Depot coupons and savings.

If one is not familiar with the language of “tool speak”, you may find it touch intimidating to walk into your local home improvement store, and confidently shop for the tools that best meet your needs. The world of power tools is incredibly rich and varied with a mind boggling array of options available. Not only are there different brands to choose from, but there are unique features and benefits within each brand. Differences in size, power, and function require that you know a little bit about what you need before you ever walk in the door.No one could blame you if you felt like you just didn’t know where to start. I would suggest that it would behoove all of us to take a little time to get comfortable with what is available, and familiarize oneself with some of the options that you might find so that you can buy with confidence.
There are two main genres of power tools on the market today. Some are powered the old fashioned way. These have a cord and must be plugged into an electrical supply in order to work. Others fall into the cordless, or battery powered arena. Decide if you want a cordless tool or corded tool. The advantages of a corded tool is they offer more power, they are usually less expensive, and there are no batteries that need to be recharged. Though of course the advantages of a cordless tool is mobility and that one doesn’t have to worry about easy access to a power supply. Be aware however, of the voltage available in the batteries supplied with your prospective tool. Voltage is the key indicator of power in the world of cordless power tools. When cordless tools first became available, a 9.6 volt battery was standard. In order to meet an increasing demand for more torque and longer life, manufacturers increased the power of these batteries to 12 volts, and then 14.4. We have seen a steady increase in the amount of power that these tools supply since then, moving all the way up to 36 volts and beyond. Most cordless tools will meet the needs of any user, however, they may need to be recharged before finishing a project. If this is a concern, you may be well advised to buy additional batteries.
Compare features of the same tool with other competitors. There are a number of features available on the latest power tools that have a direct impact on how easy the tools are to use. This being said, the feature available may vary wildly from product to product. Power tools companies have patents on their features, and sometimes the extra feature is worth the extra money. If you are having a difficult time deciding whether you need these features, then it’s a good idea to think about how often you are going to use it. Decide what kind of user you are – occasional or serious user. An occasional user can get by with a less expensive tool, while a serious tool user should only buy professional power tools.
When you are ready to purchase your tools you would be advised to visit a merchant with a that has a return policy. You will be faced with a wide array of brands and each will claim to be the best. Purchase a brand that has a good warranty. Visiting a store such as Home Depot will provide you with enough choices to allow you to satisfy all of your requirements. Home Depot coupons currently available will also provide the best savings possible during this purchase.

I spent most of Memorial Day on Monday around my house, but outside. We cooked some food on the grill, hung out, it was very therapeutic. Oh the weather in Los Angeles has been nice, very nice indeed. The sweet California sunshine can be a wondrous thing. Quite the switch from recent years that I have spent back east, where it has been nail bitingly cold for six months then transitions into humid and swampy. Yes we were having a great time, but I also started getting a little bummed out.
California weather has quite a bit going for her, but she can also be a cruel mistress…you see she is killing my lawn and plants. Yes, we water regularly but the sun is just burning them up. I believe the time has come to be proactive and take some steps to avert certain disaster.
As we entered our nearby Home Depot to obtain all of our necessary supplies, Sara’s attention was drawn to the patio furniture. “We really should pay some attention to the patio situation”, she was telling me. My first inclination was to say, “Oh come on, let’s just get what we came for”. Sara’s persistence and logic always has a way of changing my mind though, “So you want a good looking lawn, but don’t care if the patio area looks crummy?”. Okay, fair enough. Though if we are going to think of purchasing new patio furniture, what do we have to consider?
- Too Eat or Too Talk? - As with any new patio furniture purchase you should step back and look at the space you want to fill. Begin by thinking of what you’ll need. Is it for dining, or just lounging? Deciding what you’ll use the space for will help you begin to figure out what you’ll need.
- People or Alone Time? - Imagine what you want the space to look like. Do you want a seating area that you can have a lot of people in conversing? Or do you want a place you can be alone and read in? Knowing how you want the area to look will also help you figure out what to get and how much.
- What Style? - You need to be aware that materials convey styles and eras. Wrought iron is thought of as Victorian, wicker is romantic and wood feels rustic and warm. Decide what style you want to convey.
- Warranty? - When you’re ready to start looking at patio furniture look at warranties, and care instructions. Make sure the furniture is durable and the parts are easy to replace. Decide what works for you as far as the amount of maintenance needed.
- Fabrics Choices - Make sure fabrics are water resistant and plan to retreat these annually. Also, check that hardware and brass are galvanized and stain resistant.
- Bargains & Deals - Look for bargains in floor models, pieces with minor scratches or discontinued styles. You might be able to find sets that are missing a cushion, for example, and you can get a deal on that.
- Shop with a budget in mind, but look for value over price. Home Depot is currently offering 25% off of selected patio sets as well as free shipping! Let me tell you, that little sale went a long way in convincing me to come around to Sara’s way of thinking
- Try it OUT! - Before you buy it try it out! Make sure you like the styles you choose and that you are comfortable in them. Be sure you know return policies, etc.
Believe me, if you decide to take the plunge and go this direction, I have no doubt you will be so happy you did, and with these Home Depot coupons you will be even happier. Think of all the comfort and pride radiating from you home as you entertain in these warm upcoming months. Yeah, it’ll be great.
Suffice to say, Sara won out and this weekend I plan on napping on our new Hampton Bay Wicker Patio set..

It truly never fails to amaze me, every time the temperature drops I swear at myself for not buying a heater last winter! But I just can’t get myself to buy one during the peak chilly seasons because they are so marked up. Then it starts to cool off and the thought of buying a heater seems ludicrous. A stupid silly cycle indeed.
Well this time I am not going to let my frugal nature get the best of me! Take 10% off Appliances at Home Depot plus Free Shipping!
Which means you can take 10% Off major appliances like refrigerators, wine coolers, vacuums, range hoods, etc. Some of the offers are only available online and I think you need to spend over $299 or more to tack on the additional 10% off. However since they are offering Free Delivery on online purchases it really is a great deal!
