New Apple Products For 2009 + Free Apple Computer Coupons

By Isreal Lawrence on Aug 27th, 2009

This has already been a big summer for Apple. We have seen a refresh of the iPhone with the 3GS and apparently on Friday we will see a new addition to the OSX family with Snow Leopard. Rumors abound as to what Jobs and company have in the works to unveil at their annual grand gala in September. These rumors include new versions of the iPod Touch and iPod Nano, perhaps larger storage capacity with a camera. Perhaps a new generation of the venerable iTunes, an advancement to iTunes9. The rumor mill has also been burning with talk about a touch screen tablet of some sort, a device to compete in the netbook market.

All this talk is just that of course…talk. While some rumors may, such as the iPod reboot, have more credence than others, we will see soon enough what Apple has in store for the upcoming year. What about this years new products that have already been released and are available right now?

The iPhone 3GS has been around for a few months now, and has been written about by others large and small almost to death. OSX Snow Leopard will be released as I mentioned, on Friday. I wrote a little bit about this the other day for our UK site. You can read about it here. There are few other products that have gotten makeovers this summer that haven’t received as much press hoopla though. These being, this years versions of the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.

MacBook Air

The slimmest notebook on the block comes in two flavors for $1499 and $1799 respectively. The first offers 1.86 GHz Intel core Duo with 120GB drive and 2GB of Ram as well as the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics. The advanced model comes with same but with a 2.13 GHz processor and a 128 GB solid state flash drive!

I recently purchased an Apple for my wife’s birthday and after not using one for a few years I had kind of forgotten how well made they were. My PC has beefier specs but I swear the Apple runs just as smooth if not smoother.

Watch TV Online with a Lenovo IdeaCentre Desktop Computer

By Isreal Lawrence on May 18th, 2009

a600-beautifully-simple.jpgI love computers. I really do, I’m totally the guy who learns a new way to utilize his computer, and can’t stop prattling on about it to my wife. It’s like I’m ten years old, “Look what I learned at school Mommy!”. Oh she indulges me, maybe she thinks it’s charming, at the very least she appreciates the fact that I know what to do when her computer acts up.
This past Friday, Sara (my wife) and I wandered into a local electronics store and I saw the most beautiful thing. A brand new desktop, with a loaded feature set, with a flat HD display. “Oh my lord “, I exclaimed “think of the possibilities“.

You see these days at my house, we’ve just about done away with the regular television. We watch Hulu, stream movies on Netflix or download them off of iTunes. We watch them all off of computer, or wired through the regular TV set.

I’ve been a laptop man for quite awhile because of portability. However desktops have the advantage over most laptops, due to a larger hard drive, and just generally being more powerful all around. I already have a laptop, two actually. We have been thinking very seriously about purchasing a new television, but what if we got this!?!?!

Lenovo is offering a really great deal right now, at a truly beautiful price might I add. The  Lenovo IdeaCentre A series, with  a 21.5″ HD monitor, Dolby Home Stereo, Blue Ray player…oh it’s an entertainment wonderland!
Well long story short, Sara pulled me away before any major purchases were made. I’m still working on her however. Check out these Lenovo coupons…up to $400 off? You have to be kidding me! Please take advantage of this! I want to live vicariously through you.

Say iLove you with an iPod for Mom on Mother’s Day

By Nicole on Apr 27th, 2007
iPod 4 Mom No, your mom doesn’t want another oven mitt, an iron or a cookbook. She wants something fun, cool and can show all her friends. She wants…an iPod, seriously! And now, Apple.com has made it even easier for you to get it and show you care with Free Engraving, Free Gift Wrapping and Free Shipping. So think of something clever to engrave on the back (even a little cheesy is ok) like, “Happy Mother’s Day 2007, iLove you”. Then go to Apple.com and get her something she will use and love. It would also be great if you made a list of 50 or so songs/artists she should put on it, or better yet download them to her PC with her, and show her how to use itunes. That should get you off the hook for the electric can opener you got her last year. Order by May 4th, to make sure it gets there in time!
