Have a festive and healthy summer!

I must admit that there was a time that I didn’t give a second thought to skin care. I cruised through the summer months and lazy days at the beach without so much as a simple sunscreen application. I was young, indestructible, and besides…weren’t all those creams and lotions just for the ladies?

Times have changed though my friend. I have suffered from from the sunburned aftermath of those lazy days at the beach one too many times. As age has started it’s inevitable march in the form of fine lines upon my face, vanity has started to get the better of me, outweighing my previous bravado. These days I have other concerns as well. During our family outings frolicking in the sun during these upcoming spring and summer months, I need to make sure the children are protected. This after all isn’t 1976, and it isn’t cool to bathe in the sun slathered in baby oil like my parents did (sorry Mom!). We now know the damage unprotected exposure to the sun can cause. Not only that, I have found that just a little bit of attention paid to skincare helps me look my best. Maybe even taking a few years off. That’s right I said it.

There are huge advantages, and I get quite a charge out of, my partner finding me as attractive these days as when I was ten years younger. In short, I have started listening to my wife  and I have learned a few things from the ladies. Just another example that they always know best I suppose.
