In my youth I would literally fill pillow cases full of assorted candy! My friends and I would start “trick or treating” while the sun was still up and would not stop until our bags were brimming with sweet treats. Back then we weren’t worried about poisoned apples or razor blade candies, it was good times. Plus my parents are naturally thrifty, so any holiday that gave away “free” stuff was a-ok with them.
